Because Saban sold out FOX Family, the network was sold to Disney. Now, will FOX Kids follow? The weekday block is dead, and Saturday morning is up for sale. FOX is asking for $20 million a year for its four-hour Saturday morning programming block.
Nickelodeon, Nelvana, DIC Entertainment, 4 Kids Entertainment, Philip Anschutz, and AOL Time Warner are all serious bidders. What does this mean? Not good things. Digimon Scanners will never be seen in the US. Fact is, it means that every last person who works for FOX Kids Studios may be out of a job.
If AOL buys it, we will be seeing more Toonami, though.
Also, FOX still wants master control, meaning that it can interrupt or replace the programming at least twelve times a year (that's once a month) with football and the like.

Wheew. Four straight hours of Digimon. Couldn't they have found better episodes? Some of those... eh, very tedious. Analysis: All reruns, better in the earlier half, need to add Crystal Matrix to the list of Things We Know Nothing About Yet Affect Everyone in Tamers, annnnd Rika is a female chibi-Aya. As always, Yamaki is hot, Matt is hot, Tai's hair is big, Henry has lovely grey eyes and someone please shoot Davis!
Do I have "hazardous to own health" stamped on my forehead?? I did get all my stuff done today, but I lingered so long in the grocery that I forgot I hadn't eaten since breakfast. And promptly felt like I wanted to faint. The nice manager and checkers helped me. Then I somehow lost my gloves in all that mess. I am *pissed* about the gloves. LOL, but really! Somebody put rubber oven mitts on me so I don't hurt myself standing up! *g* I am so inept at Real Life. Someone else run my body, I'll go do something else now, dum dee dum la la la...
*sigh* I am such a procrastinator. And I rarely take responsibility. And I have a tendency to stretch the truth in the not-so-storytelling ways... particularly to myself. Next week Anthur my Neopet will turn one year old, and I'll have been playing that damned game for that long. Which is fun and happy and all, except I was at my lowest point in the two year depression when I joined.
Part of what I need to do is turn the computer off. The problem is rarely when I talk to people, but doing obsessive things alone while waiting for chat or RP to begin is as bad as channel surfing all day. It's this anti-Zen state of unawareness. The number of hours I spend in RP directly correlates to how low my grades get.
But on the good side. I've finally calmed myself down from the trauma, and if I can just get myself out there, I'll remember how it's done. I don't think my self-control is going to get any better. But I do feel more free. And that's the important thing. Don't be afraid to screw up royally, as long as you do it in the trenches, fighting the good fight.
Medicine problem: my sex drive and positiveness goes up with chocolate, but so does my erraticness and lack of control. When I'm on regular meds, my sex drive goes down and I level out, but the creativity and impulsiveness also go down. Tentative solution: listen to me and talk to me more. Because no amount of therapy's gonna cut through this. My universe ends at my skin and everything else will *always* be separate, will always be the Other's view of my world, whether good or bad. Have to keep talking to myself. It got me through so much, it will do it again, and I think it'll work this time. Between the two chemicals I think I can regulate.
Weight. I simply don't like to eat sometimes. I really don't want to be thin, I want to be a normal body weight with real mass and okay flexibility. Need to exercise, and actually spend money on those veggies and fish. Now that I have a pot to cook said foods, I have no excuse. Maybe later I'll check out the dance studio close to here. That was always fun.
And yes, I need to get a job. College I will worry about later, one thing at a time. I need to get a job that gives me a schedule and something to keep my mind on. Anything that gets my energy up.
Alas, I cannot get free petting around here. My friends are not petters. Or, I have been so stiff with them that they don't think I am. But I think I need this too.
I'm gonna take a night off from RP to watch Friends and clean up my room and such. See you Friday.
