The sea it swells like a sore head
And the night it is aching
Two lovers lie with no sheets on their bed
And the day it is breaking
On rainy days we go swimming out
On rainy days, swimming in the sound
On rainy days we go swimming out
You're in my mind all of the time
I know that's not enough
If the sky can crack
There must be some way back
For love and only love
Car alarm -- back to sleep
You're kept awake
Dreaming someone else's dream
Coffee's cold, but it'll get you through
Compromise - that's nothing new to you
Let's see colours that have never been seen
Let's go to places no one else has been
You're in my mind
All of the time
I know that's not enough
If the sky can crack
There must be some way back
To love and only love
It's hot as hell, Honey, in this room
Sure hope the weather will break soon
The air is heavy, heavy as a truck
Hope the rain will wash away our bad luck
If the sky can crack
There must be some way back
For love and only love
Had a great conversation with one of my speech classmates. He likes RW too. Heh. He passed on a nice video place where I might be able to find bargain basement anime. (And porn too ^^) Finally someone I can talk to about Dragonball without getting shot down :D
I need to learn how to loosen up and hang out with people, anyhow... that's how I got about fifty friends and acquaintances in high school. Nobody just hangs out in a high pressure college unless there's drinking or studying involved. *sigh*

it's amazing how I can go from zero to screwed up in just two weeks. simply fucking great.
Alignment: Lawful Good characters are the epitome of all that is just and good. They believe in order and governments that work for the benefit of all, and generally do not mind doing direct work to further their beliefs.
Race: Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.
Primary Class: Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.
Secondary Class: Mages harness the magical energies for their own use. Spells, spell books, and long hours in the library are their loves. While often not physically strong, their mental talents can make up for this.
Deity: Oghma is the Neutral Good god of knowledge and invention. He is also known as the Binder of What is Known, and is the Patron of Bards. His followers believe that knowledge reigns supreme, and is the basis for everything else that is done. They wear white shirts and pants, with a black and gold braided vest, and a small, box-like hat. All priests of Oghma are known as Loremasters. Oghma's symbol is a scroll.
10:41 AM we are a nation, we are a Cardinals nation :D
When third baseman Scott Rolens was injured in Game 2, manager LaRussa got a call from an old friend.
Retired power hitter Mark McGwire jokingly offered to fill in.
It's not just the sports. It's the spirit.
Some clips from the sites:
Not surprisingly, the loyal Busch Stadium fans made sure Cairo knew it. As Cairo pulled into second after his game-sealing double, adjusting his uniform pants and gesturing skyward the same way he did after his big hit in Game 2 (he took second on the throw home in that case), the Sea of Red erupted. There was Cairo, standing on second base for the second time in 48 hours, having just secured a Cardinals win.
"CAI-RO! CAI-RO!" they screamed, and Miguel Cairo allowed himself a little grin.

"This win right here is for D.K. and Jack Buck,'' Vina said. "They're part of the Cardinals family and we lost them. My heart goes out to the families. Hopefully we can go all the way to the end."

Pitcher Matt Morris carried Kile's jersey into a group celebration near second base after the final out. St. Louis now will play either Atlanta or San Francisco starting Wednesday.
***
The Cardinals won with Vina hopping and dancing before his throw beat David Dellucci to first base for the final out.
"I wanted that ball as much as possible," Vina said.

Bernie Miklasz:
The Arizona Diamondbacks had been sent home for the winter. And inside the St. Louis clubhouse, the champagne was combustible and cold and ready to be dispensed by the giddy, whooping Cardinals.
Manager Tony La Russa was not ready to join the party. He lingered in his office for a few quiet moments of reflection, away from the spray of beer and the full-throated cheers of a triumphant team. But La Russa's emotions, like the champagne, bubbled up. And he couldn't contain his feelings.
Drew Baur, one of the owners, approached La Russa and commented about the remarkable nature of the 2002 Cardinals, who overcame so much personal pain and so many unfair tests to reach the first stage of October's Promised Land.
"This team is real special," La Russa told Baur. "Real, real, special."
The instantaneous review of the long journey from April to October found La Russa's soft spot. His hands went to his face, and the hardshell manager got wobbly. Baur moved in to throw a bearhug around La Russa. After the embrace, La Russa turned away, facing the corner. His fingers were still at his eyes, playing defense, still trying to stop the teardrops from rolling down his cheeks.
...
This has been an unbelievable year for Tony," Cardinals general manager Walt Jocketty said. "And tonight's game topped it off. Everything fell into place. He hasn't made a bad decision all year, but this was really something."
And Cardinal Nation is noticing. Fans have warmed up to La Russa, who received one of the loudest ovations during pregame introductions. It took a long time for the sea of red to colorize La Russa, but the unusually cruel demands of a punishing 20002 season put La Russa's managing under a special, glowing light.
Jack Buck died, Darry Kile died, La Russa's own father died. La Russa and trusted pitching coach Dave Duncan kept applying patches to a staff that used 26 pitchers, including 14 starters. The day before the NLDS began, the Cardinals lost their hopeful Game 3 starter, Woody Williams. In Game 2, they lost Rolen. But through each new storm, La Russa kept himself centered and his players moving forward.

Jeff Gordon:
The Cardinals Express rolled on, even with star third baseman Scott Rolen sidelined until further notice with his sprained shoulder. The Express rolled on, right over the top of the defending World Series champions Saturday night at a raucous Busch Stadium.

Rick Hummel:
But the Cardinals also out-fundamentaled the Diamondbacks.
Starting pitcher Andy Benes dropped down a flawless suicide squeeze bunt, scoring supersub Miguel Cairo, to key a two- run fourth inning capped by Vina's ninth single. Though Benes did not last five innings for the win, he did have the game-winning run batted in.
And Albert Pujols, back in left field after committing an error in his only chance as a relief third baseman in Game 2, threw out his second runner of the series. Pujols gunned down Chris Donnels, who was trying to score the tying run, to end the sixth after fielding a single by Steve Finley off Jeff Fassero.
After Benes had dropped his bunt on a 3-1 count after failing on the 1-0 pitch, Vina gave the Cardinals a 4-2 lead with a single to right, plating Mike Matheny.
Matheny was a hero in his own right in the series, going four for nine with two sacrifices and two walks.
Fittingly, Vina made the last out in the field, grabbing David Dellucci's grounder and firing to first. After this act, Vina bounded to second, where he embraced keystone partner Edgar Renteria and they began to bound in unison. "I was so excited to get that last ball. Once I let it out of my hand, I was pumped," said Vina.
Showing his sense of Cardinals history, Vina said this series victory was not only for late teammate Darryl Kile and broadcaster Jack Buck, but for departed Cardinals from years ago.
"This win is for DK and Jack and Enos Slaughter and Darrell Porter and all of those people who are so special to Cardinal nation," Vina said.
"We lost a lot of people. I didn't play with them, but I know a lot of history of St. Louis. All of those guys combined ... this is for them."
